Black Ops 6 players fear Season 2 map may be the worst in CoD history

Black Ops 6 fans fear that Bullet is on the fast track to becoming one of the worst maps in series history based on its layout.

Season 2 Reloaded introduces two new maps: Grind Ooze and Bullet. Grind first appeared in Black Ops 2, set in a skatepark in Venice, California. The medium-sized map follows the traditional three-lane format.

Meanwhile, Bullet is a small-scaled map on a moving train. Based on early indications, it’s expected to flow similarly to Stakeout, meaning players can expect fast-paced, chaotic gunfights.

However, fans didn’t expect it to be as small as the map layout image revealed.

Bullet map layout brings up bad memories for CoD series veterans

In 2023, a Call of Duty fan jokingly created a map design so bad it went viral, and fans wanted it added to Modern Warfare 3. The proposed map consisted of a single hallway with no cover and one line of sight.

CharlieIntel shared an image of Bullet’s map layout, and fans recognized the uncanny resemblance to the hallway map.

Different cars break up the map, and players can take cover behind various objects, but Bullet is a straight line.

“They really saw that corridor meme and said you know what this is not a bad idea,” one player joked.

Without a chance to play the map, it’s impossible to make any judgments, but players aren’t optimistic.

“And they wonder why people get burnt out. What has happened to this franchise,” a second user added.”

A third commenter argued, “Treyarch had some of the best map designers in the industry. What the hell happened with BO6?”

Most frustrations come from the overabundance of small-sized maps and their growing popularity. Before launch, Treyarch tried to reassure fans, “The majority of Black Ops 6’s Core 6v6 maps are medium-sized, similar in size to Raid or Summit.”

And while there is a good selection of medium maps, small maps steal all the attention. Stakeout and Nuketown are the title’s most popular maps, and Bullet will most likely have a passionate fan base despite all the pushback.
